Whether you’re a curious beginner, a seasoned yogi looking to refresh the fundamentals, or someone who simply loves exploring movement, this workshop is for you. Let’s be honest—how often do you get the chance to pause mid-class and really explore a pose? to ask questions and understand the why behind what you are doing. In this Asana Lab, we’ll slow it down, break it down, and adapt each posture to suit your unique body. You’ll also learn how to use props effectively to support, deepen, or clarify your experience in each shape. The focus of this workshop is exploring Backbends as way of taking up space in your body. Focus: Supported and active backbends (Bridge, Camel, gentle Wheel variations) Chest and shoulder opening techniques Spinal extension and safe articulation Using props to explore depth safely Why it matters: Builds confidence, spinal awareness, and upper body openness, preparing students to explore backbends without strain safely. We’ll geek out on how your body works, experiment with variations in a relaxed atmosphere. You’ll leave feeling confident, curious, and connected, with a deeper understanding of your body and maybe even a new appreciation for your spine. This workshop is Part 3 of a three-part Yoga FUNdamentals series. Book all three and save £15, or join any individual workshop that interests you. These workshops are aimed at beginners however they are deeply beneficial for helping you tune your instrument if you've been practice yoga for a while.
