I understand it can be scary taking that first step on your yoga journey but this beginners series has been designed to give you a safe, exploratory introduction to yoga that will help you build a strong foundation Who is this for? You want to start yoga but don't know where to begin. You have been to a few classes but felt lost and want to expedite your learning. You want to experience more inner peace and a connection to your body. I will share from 10 years of experience the key elements to starting yoga. Each week we will build on the previous so you will have lots of opportunity to practice what you have learned as you go along. You will learn: How to breathe in a way that supports health and vibrancy. The importance of your breath – its effect on your practice and body and using it as a simple way to direct prana (energy) around the body. The foundational shapes that make up the physical part of yoga. Sun salutations, standing shapes, twists, balancing. You will be supported to find movement that feels easful in your body. How to make use of props to support your practice to find more ease and space in your body. By the end of the three workshops you will have: A life long tool of being able to move through sun salutations by yourself so you can continue to practice at home. Confidence to join and try other yoga classes. A greater level of self awareness, confidence and inner peace. Learn how to use your breath to experience life more fully. A new network of friends on a similar journey to you. So, come join us on this yoga adventure and see what transformation is waiting for you on the other side! herbal tea to settle in. This is a three week series so please make sure you can attend all workshops if you can as no refunds provided. You do not need to bring anything just wear something comfortable to move in.
