We are beyond excited to invite you to Portal to Joy—our summer day retreat designed to uplift, energize, and nourish your whole being. This is the second in our series of abundant seasonal gatherings, each one honoring the natural cycles of the year and inviting you into deeper harmony with yourself and the world around you.
As summer reaches its peak, this is a time of expansion, celebration, and radiant energy. We gather to bask in the warmth of the season, embracing the full expression of joy through dynamic movement, sacred song, stillness, and connection.Every detail has been lovingly curated to ensure you feel completely held, inspired, and restored.
From a dynamic morning practice that will spark aliveness in every cell, to the deeply soothing embrace of restorative yoga, to the heart-opening magic of sacred song—this retreat is a true invitation into joy.
A nourishing, seasonal lunch will be lovingly prepared by Jade’s Kitchen, offering fresh, vibrant flavors to delight your senses and fuel your body.
Set in the serene surroundings of [vBatheaston, you’ll find a peaceful haven where you can step away from the demands of daily life and immerse yourself in the simple, profound pleasures of being present.
This retreat is open to anyone looking to take a pause, move with intention, and connect with a like-minded community.

THE PRACTICES
Morning Practice: Expand Your Potential
We’ll explore backbends—not as you know them, but through new techniques, intelligent mapping, and hands-on assists designed to help you move in ways you may never have before. Expect collaborative exploration, where we work together to decode movement, refine patterns, and build fluency in your body.
Afternoon Practices: Grounded Being
Our afternoon practice will focus on restoring, reframing, and refining your ground of being. Thoughtful adjustments will offer a new frame of reference, helping you find stability in your lower body so your upper body can do what it’s meant to do—express. This session invites you into deep release and embodied integration.
Sacred Song with Sarah
Our sacred song workshop will be guided by the wonderful Sarah Devereux, whose voice and presence create a space of deep connection and joy. With a passion for the transformative power of sound, Sarah weaves together simple melodies and mantras, inviting you to open your voice and heart in a safe and uplifting environment—or simply bask in the beautiful sound. No prior singing experience is needed—just a willingness to explore and express.

MEET YOUR HOST
RIVER MACE
River has always been guided by her curiosity to explore the body in new ways, a journey shaped by movement, connection, and a deep relationship with embodiment. A foundation in gymnastics sparked an early love of physical exploration, further refined through professional training as a dancer. River’s yoga path began with traditional Hatha training in Bali, complemented by 100's of hours of advanced study in Embodied Yin, Katonah Yoga and Somatic Stress Release.
Her teaching blends dynamic flow, strength, and meditative stillness, helping students cultivate adaptability, courage, and joy. Inspired by a fully embodied approach to life, River embraces movement as a path to vitality and play, drawing connections between fluidity on the mat and freedom in life.
River’s retreats are thoughtfully curated spaces of nourishment, transformation, and connection. Her approach is welcoming to all levels, offering personalized guidance in a supportive, nurturing environment. Whether you love exploring armbalances or finding a sense of peace, each retreat invites participants to cultivate courage, connection, and joy.
