"Yoga is not about touching your toes. It's about what you learn on the way down."
Welcome to my In-Depth Beginners Yoga Course, an immersive journey into the foundations of yoga. Whether you're completely new to yoga or have dabbled in it before, this course is designed to give you a safe, exploratory introduction to yoga that you can grow from.
Harness your power, find your center, and start creating a vibrant and fulfilling life through the ancient practice of yoga.
It's truly magic, I can't wait to share with you!
what will you experience?
Build a Strong Foundation
I'll guide you step-by-step through fundamental yoga poses such as sun salutations, standing postures, balances and twists. You will be supported to find movement that feels easful in your body. How to make use of props to support your practice to find more ease and space in your body. All learning styles are considered and lots of repetition to help embody and integrate what you learn each week. You will come away with a practice you can do at home, while gradually building strength, flexibility, and body awareness.
The power of breath
There are so many profound benefits to learning how to breath fully. In yoga we call it Pranayama. I will share how to how to control and direct the breath to have different energetic effects on the body. Whether that be to energise, cool, relax, focus or detox.
Mind-Body & Spirit
Yoga is more than just physical exercise; it's a practice that unites the mind, body, and spirit. You'll cultivate a deeper connection with your body learning to listen to its whispers or in some cases roars! This starts with surrendering into being present rather then always having to "do" and analyze. We go slow and I offer cues and techniques to help you drop out of the business of your mind and back into your natural state of being.
Learning yoga with others just starting out is a special as you can experience the collective comradery of sharing a new experience together. New friendships often blossom as result. I so often hear of beginners going to a regular class and feeling intimidated. There is none of that here as everyone is new and no one has a clue what there doing at first!
"I feel incredibly fortunate to have found River as my first yoga teacher. Her knowledge, patience, and genuine passion has help me so much. I can't recommend her classes enough!"
